Hiking Package

Hiking Package consists of 3 different walking trips on different parts of the “Bozburun” peninsula and beyond. Great mountain top views of the Aegean,

forests with rich endemic species of plants, deep canyons, mysterious caves, beautiful bays, hidden trails and friendly local people. All this is the Trek & Trail Package!  Although not long and challenging, the routes include some rocky terrain and slopes. Walking boots are not essential, trainers will do. This package can be joined by anyone, with no walking problems, from 6 years old and further

 

Hiking “Palamuttepe”, 6km, Half day

Palamuttepe is the highest peak of the Bozburun Peninsula, the altitude is 930 m. With a half an hour transfer from Loryma Resort we reach the top of the mountain. Enjoying the great full view of the Bozburun Peninsula and beyond  Marmaris, Datca Peninsula, Gökova Gulf, and the Greek Islands of Symi and Rhodes. We start walking down the mountain. In a short while we leave the road and get on a downhill forest trail. Whilst observing the endemic plants and enjoying the views, the trail takes us down to “Haciağac Village” in approximately half an hour.  In the village we will be the guest of a local tea house and have a great Aegean style breakfast with home-grown fresh foods. Leaving the village we walk for about 45 min.  to a diffirent valley on a downhill path which takes us  to “Dereozu Village”  Transfer from the village back to Loryma Resort is about 15 minutes.

 

 

Hiking  “Deer Canyon”, 6 km  Full Day

Deer Canyon is an untouched peace of nature. It is situated about 85 km north-east  from Turunc and we reach there approximetely with 1,5 hours of transfer time.  We enter  the canyon at “Aricilar Village” where we have a tea break and meet the friendly locals. Then we get on the path overviewing the canyon with breath taking scenary. Down in the canyon the terrain is naturally rocky but has no technical climbing or abseiling passes, it’s just simply walking along the creek. Sometimes we walk in to shallow water or scramble over the rocks. Besides interesting rock formations and caves on the canyon walls we also have the chance to see the Anatolian Ibexes (wild goats) on a lucky day. We will walk out of the canyon following a path by a side creek and get back to” Aricilar Village” and have our lunch at the village cafe

 

Hiking  “İcmeler”, 8 km, Half Day

We start from Loryma Resort, the hike is about 3 hours following the coast line from up above in the forest the trek goes up and down with the magnificant sea view on side. We reach Icmeler village and have a picnic and a swim break in a secluded bay. Returning to Turunc will be by boat.
